Start Playing
What should I bring?
Bring comfortable athletic wear suitable for sand play, such as shorts and a breathable shirt. Don’t forget to pack a water bottle to stay hydrated, a towel to wipe off sweat, and maybe a change of clothes for after the game (we have shower facilities).
You pay for your team each night so at least one person on the team should bring a payment method, they can also pay for the first round from the bar.
What should I wear?

Can we choose what time we play?
You can let us know your preferred playing times, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. However, we cannot guarantee that you will always play at your desired time, as we strive to ensure fair competition and give everyone a chance to play at their preferred times.
Players must check the fixtures each week to see when they will be playing.
How do I pay? Do I pay for the whole team or just myself?
When you play, one person makes a single payment for the whole team at the front counter. Teams can then split the bill however they prefer.
Players often use payments splitting apps to help them divide the costs easily.
What should I expect on the first night?
- Parking: Convenient parking available out the front.
- Entrance: Enter around the right-hand side of the building.
- Payment: Pay at the front counter upon arrival, just say “Hi I’m paying for [TEAM NAME]”.
- Game Token: You will receive a token after paying. Hold onto this and give it to the umpire before you start playing, you won’t be allowed to play without this token.
- Court Information: Check the TV above the counter to find out which court you are playing on.
- Court Numbers: Court numbers are displayed up high for easy identification.
- Game Timer: There is a big countdown timer on a TV and on the scoreboards letting you know when the next game will start. Please be ready with your token.
- Jump on Court: If your court is empty before your game starts feel free to jump on and have a warm up and a play with the ball.
Everyone is very friendly so if you have questions you can ask our staff. Don’t be afraid to ask other players questions either!

How do I pay for my Friday Social team? Do I pay for the whole team or just myself?
Payments are made at the front counter on the night of play. You just pay for yourself even if you are in a team.
What should I expect when I show up?
- You can find plenty of parking out the front of the centre.
- Entry is down the right side of the building.
- You can pay for yourself at the front counter.
- Let them know if you’ve arrived by yourself and need a team or have organised a team.
- Once you’ve been assigned a team you can be social and wait to hear what court you will be playing on first.
- Everyone is very friendly so don’t be afraid to ask questions.
- Jump on the court you’re assigned and start playing!
Glow in the Dark
How does the glow in the dark night run?
Exactly like Friday drop in social nights. We run a round robin competition, self umpired, where you will play 4 games and then finals if your team makes it. You can enter your own team of 6 or if you don’t have enough, we can make a team of 6 for you. Please note that as this event is so popular, we cannot guarantee that we won’t add more players to your team if you have less than 6 players. If you don’t make finals and haven’t had enough, then we can organise a friendly for you while finals are playing. We stop half way through the night for some delicious pizza from Jojo’s pizza. All this while cranking the tunes and having heaps of fun.
Can I buy tickets to glow in the dark at the door on the night?
You can if we have any left, but this event almost always sells out prior.
What should I wear to glow in the dark nights?
Hi vis, fluorescent colours pop the best under black lights. Some whites also pop, but it depends on the washing detergent that you use, so stick to hi vis if you can. No shoes and comfortable clothing so you can move freely.
Forfeiting a Team
Is there a forfeit fee?
- Less than 1 week notice will result in 50% of the game fee as a forfeit charge.
- Less than 72 hours notice will result in the full game fee as a forfeit charge.
- No notice given will result in 2 times the game fee as a forfeit charge. (Please keep in mind that if you give no notice we lose the game fee for both you and your opponent while still having to pay an umpire while our court sits empty.)
How do I forfeit a team?
All forfeits must be submitted through the forfeit form. If you decide to call us to forfeit we will direct you to the form.
The form will send you an email receipt which you should hang onto to verify your submission went through.
